It's Not Just About Melanoma.

With all the focus on melanoma, it is easy to forget that basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma can also pose real danger. When doing self-examination, basal cell carcinoma may look like: a dome-shaped growth with visible blood vessels; a shiny, pinkish patch; a sore that heals, then returns and can repeatedly heal and return; brown or black growth; or white or yellow waxy growth that looks like a scar.
Meanwhile, squamous cell carcinoma is the second most common skin cancer. It's symptoms may include a bump that feels crusty or rough; a flat patch that is red and rough; a dome-shaped bump that grows and bleeds; or a sore that does not heal, or heals and returns. When it doubt, see us to check it out.
